Being free software, HoRNDIS comes with no warranty (not even a guarantee that it won't break your phone or computer! But I'm pretty sure it won't.), express or implied. (For more on that, read the license.) However, I hope that it works for you; if it doesn't, and you're able to assist in debugging, I'd like to hear from you.

The software was completely unknown to me and since my Mavic was just charging, I looked for the DJI Assistant for the Mac. Sometimes you don't believe how hard it is to find such an easy download. After a few hits on forums and a 404 error on DJI.com itself, I finally found it.
There in the right area you will find the link to the DMG for the Mac. I've marked it in the screenshot below. I hope this brings you to the right software. I would have linked the current version directly, but as soon as DJI releases a new version, the download link would no longer be correct ... that is also not the point.
Hi People out there. New to Computers, and getting on in years. Just wondering if there is such a thing as MacAssistant and what it does. I am trying to download a Firmwear update for my Phantom 4 Pro drone and it appears that I need a MacAssistant to download it through my Mac Book Pro can anyone enlighten me about this. Would really appreciate any help. kind regards Harry
2. Once you've downloaded the Assistant, open Finder, then go to your downloads folder. Right-click (or hold the Control key while clicking) on the installer package, then click Open. You'll be prompted if you want to continue. Click Open.
Unfortunately I don't have a Phantom 4 Pro, but I do have a Mavic Pro, and both models use the same activation system and apps. Recently, DJI introduced a new anti-theft measure that prevents any drone from flying more than 50 metres away from the home point, unless a device that is signed into the account used to activate the drone is connected to the remote controller. In order to bypass this restriction, you'll need to download the DJI Go 4 app on your phone or tablet (or iPad), and sign into the DJI account that you used to activate your Phantom 4 Pro with. Before you take off, make sure that your device has the DJI Go 4 app open and is connected to your remote controller. This should fix the 50 metre issue.
DJI is undoubtedly the number one brand when it comes to consumer and professional-level drones. Year after year, they continue to release the best drones loaded with some of the most useful and innovative features. DJI also offers a host of apps and software to support the owners of their drones. One of the most useful software, albeit unfamiliar to many, is the DJI Assistant 2. In this article we go over all the useful functions of the DJI Assistant 2, which drone models it is compatible with, and where you can download it.
Despite its usefulness, many owners of DJI drones do not even know that this software exists. It is currently available in 3 versions. Older drones such as the Spark and Mavic Pro are compatible with the standard DJI Assistant 2, while the newer Mavic drones and the Phantom 4 series have their own special versions. There are also dedicated DJI Assistant 2 versions for the Matrice 200, MG-1S, and the DJI Battery Station.
To use the software with your drone, it must be tethered to your desktop or laptop computer using a micro-USB cable. Once the drone has been connected, the DJI Assistant 2 will recognize the drone and its functions will be accessible.
The DJI Assistant 2 also offers the capability to download detailed flight logs onto your computer or to the DJI servers. However, flight logs downloaded via the Assistant 2 come out in .dat format and are essentially text files with a large amount of incomprehensible data. This is quite disappointing, considering that flight logs downloaded via the DJI GO mobile app are viewable using a very simple and intuitive graphical interface.
The DJI Assistant 2 version for the Mavic Air is the same as the one for the Mavic pro. So you can download a pkg file version V1.2.4 for Mac or get an executable or zip version V1.2.5 for Windows computers.
This is a separate DJI Assistant 2 version for professional pilots who fly enterprise level drones. Like the rest of the versions this one comes in both the Mac and PC at 229 Mb and you can download it here. The drones that are compatible with this version are as follows:
Put simply, the dji assistant 2 simulator is a virtual 3D environment created from flight info transmitted to your computer. It gives commercial pilots the ability to simulate flight beforehand and carefully plan out their footage.
1) Before installing a new firmware update, you should confirm that you're using the most recent version of the DJI GO app. If using an Apple device, check the Apple App Store to see if an update is available. If using an Android device, you can check the current version and/or download the latest version of the DJI GO app from the DJI Download Center. 2ff7e9595c
